These bizarre sexual identity categories were not even a concept back in these societies. Your identity was one that was objective, such as where you were from, what lineage and tribe you are, man or woman etc. These days everything about identity has become an abstraction. We are so far removed from the natural order that it is inconceivable to imagine how people really thought in the world of tradition.
The only problem is that they use the terms to determine sex for behaviour. you are not a woman because you are a deviant wimp, you are male because that is your biologically determined sex. you can never be a women, and identifying as one doesnt make you one and doesnt make others identify you as one.
I could go on but it doesnt need to be said, this bullshit is nonsense and we all know it.
There were some societies with a third gender.
What is the third gender and which societies recognized it? Genuinely curious.
All I remember is that it was a neuter gender. They were treated as neither male or female. Sort of like eunich servants. Of course this in no way validates the gender insanity we're seeing today.
