It all went downhill when a jewish degenerate convert set fire to the city and tried to lay blame on Christians. Then horrible persecutions that lasted a century genocided Christians. Then the West split with the East and withered for a couple more hundred years even after both Empires adopted Christianity. But the East survived and became the shining beacon for the ressurection of the Catholic faith.

edit; Do you mean the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association which in the Chinese regimes version of 'Catholicism' which reject the papacy and designate their own bishops. Plus China's numbers are only est at between 6-12 million of both Catholic and Protestant creeds which is massively outnumbered by multiple other nations of the world. Biggest growth ??.
