It's moving parrallel to the ground, so not a plane. But it looks big...hard to tell what is projectile and what is exhaust. A ground-fired weapon?
Imagine (if you will) a plane-sized object, travelling at 6-800 Km/h, hitting the ground at a near parallel angle some way off target..
Why is it not a plane because it's moving parallel* to the ground?
Ground effect is far too strong for an airliner to maintain a level trajectory at low altitude moving at high speed. The faster it flies the more lift is generated. This would be an issue for a plane hitting the towers at high speed, and essentially make hitting the Pentagon next to impossible.
Because it's impossible in the context.
