No, they could leave voluntarily. Many left for America when it became apparent that shit was going down.

It was the ones that refused to leave who were deported to Israel, but the Allies blockaded the routes for that deportation, so they placed them in Work Camps.

That's what I said. They could not leave and were put in camps for humane reasons. I would have forced them across the border and left it up to the allies whether they shot them or whatever.
