Things to search for are the Earthern Mounds and Indian lore. The lore itself speaks of white skinned, red haired peoples and giants. They say there were people here before them. And that in many cases, those ancient structures (mounds and brick buildings [bricks are not an Indian technology]) were built by the people before them. Likewise the setlers recorded in their diaries of discovering these types of things. Including brick structures, which they then tore down and integrated into new buildings A study of the markings on some of the old bricks, as recovered from what still remains of these buildings, reveal markings which appear to be Hebrew or something akin to it.
