You've just got to look for hard sci-fi. SJWs can't write that because they don't have the brains for hard science and even if they did they'd have to bend it to the message so hard it'd fall apart. The problem isn't lack of good authors, it's finding them in the sea of schlock.

I'm sure you're right. I did listen to the Bobiverse, but I don't consider it to be good sci-fi, more like junk food.

Check out the Joshua Dalzelle Warship series, they're pretty good. Also, not recent but Armor by John Steakly. It's like Starship Troopers meets Doom.
