In vt so I might get lucky, now the guy in Kentucky might have issues since, what region is that canal again? it's like for me anything in the middle east or eastern europe I have no idea since I don't give a fuck about that area or Africa not a clue either.

It hasn’t really existed for over a hundred years. Even in 1912, infrastructure was being built to supplant it, so its importance wasn’t.

There was also the Ohio and Erie, which was an important canal, but that one is completely gone save for some heritage portions.
The Erie still exists in spots as the New York Barge Canal.
