There's a road here where people do that all the time. It's a nice, open, flat straight road, but invariably I'll get someone that hangs on the ass of my little car every time I travel it. I'm talking I can't see their grill they are so close.
I usually slow down when that happens. Every exit I drop the cruise 5mph. I'll usually get to 50 before they drop off (SL is 70) but my record was 30 late one night. It was a little snowy and the road had some ruts, but nothing bad, and you should not have been riding an ass anyway. I just kept slowing down and they stuck right on me. Finally passed just before I made my exit ramp.
Ooh I did that once. Went down to 45 in a 70 and they still didn't pass!
I don't get that. This is a lovely new modern highway and is well maintained. There's no reason to do that, and in all cases the road was clear to the point where there was no issue with passing.
I'm usually travelling it for work (on the clock) so I'm not Mister Speedy, but just go around me. I'm just out for a nice sunny drive on the company's dime.
