Hiker's wisdom

Hiker's wisdom

As a young kid I worked in dad's garden during the heat of the summer, often barefoot. I think between the rich soil and cow manure, my feet grew a few extra sizes because of it. I wore a size 12 by age 13. IIRC, started wearing sneakers in the garden after that and my feet stopped growing at size 13.

Remember from the 1960s-early 1970s?

Recognize but never wore. Whites have bigger feet overall don't they?

IDK. I was never a shoe salesman or looked at peoples feet much. My school was virtually all white, one black kid a couple years behind me. 99% of the whites I went to school with had smaller feet than me, a couple wore size 12s or 13s too. I worked with a 6'7" engineer years ago that wore size 15s.

There are some black pro basketball players with gigantic feet ...
