I messed up my lower back when I was in Russia a couple weeks ago. Now that I am home and had an MRI they want to give me ESI to relieve two bad discs.

I never had to deal with anything like this before. I hope it goes well the pain is excruciating right now.

I've had two. It's trippy. Someone puts a needle in your back, then you just lay there. You don't feel much different until someone comes along to check you. Then they start tapping you and you realize you are completely numb. But then you question if you are really THAT numb (enough to do a C-section on in my case). When I doubted how numb I was the doctor peeled back my sheet and took a pair of surgical clamps and vice gripped the hell out of my love bar fat. He said, "does that hurt? Because it should pinch like hell!" When I said no he put the sheet back and said, "your fine" and started the procedure. But it's only temporary like someone else said. It takes about four hours for your feeling to come back, and another two before you are stable enough to walk. It will help your pain, but it's not a long term solution. Are they going to be working in you during that time?
