Classic. The early drum machine era of Godflesh was sublime. They managed to be both cold and mechanical, hot and organic

I had the great fortune to see them open for Skinny Puppy on the Last Rights tour in 1992. I can honestly say if only Godflesh played or only Skinny Puppy played it would be the best show I've ever seen.

I wouldn't feel bass like that punishing thump until maybe Carl Cox 5 years later. The waves were so thick if you tried to inhale through your nose the vibrations would seal your nostrils shut.

Saw SP and Godflesh and Jesu after that several times so I do have a base for comparison

That early 90's industrial metal rebel drum machine shit really spoke to my musical sensibilities
