I don't want to talk down to whatever it is that brand is offering (I don't even know much about it), more than I'd like to explain what an "every day spy" would actually look like and how you can make intelligence techniques work for you to improve your life and your community.

Intelligence isn't carried out by "James Bond" types. In fact, soldiers make terrible intelligence agents because their mindsets are typically very regimented and their creativity is limited to past examples. On top of that, they are lied to and manipulated more than anyone. They are given a narrative designed to maximize their focus and abilities and are never told the truth about their missions.

Intelligence operations are not "James Bond" type missions. They are mundane data collection, aggregating and sorting. As a human being, you will never be as good at intelligence as your smart phone or Microsoft Excel.

What is "intelligence"? The term loses meaning, the closer you look, as the more directions it goes. In my book, "intelligence" is obtaining useful information that can be used as a "force multiplier" against your adversaries or for your benefit.

"Counterintelligence" is, of course, an integral part, and these techniques can also be used against your adversaries as a force multiplier or as a way to render their own intelligence useless.

There are a few ways into the Intelligence Community, generally through approved channels. If you go through a university, like De Paul, and you have degrees like International Politics, you're training already aligns you with an "approved narrative" that is your "frame." Most of the people in the intelligence community are stuck in this frame and they, mentally, will never escape. Diplomats and soldiers both see things different ways and made to feel that their way is more correct or better, when, in fact, both of those narratives are crafted. The "normie" narrative is equally as crafted, though more chaotically.

You can attract the attention of IC recruiters by merely being a "well placed person." Rock stars and celebrities? Sure. Even Julia Child, the chef, was a CIA shill. But, mostly, well placed people are in positions that are a nexus of authority. For example, a former police chief on the city council who is also the Trustee of the local law enforcement trust. This is a person a recruiting agency could call and ask to look the other way for a moment, or hire someone else who is a plant. "The Matrix of Power" doctrine suggests these positions be infiltrated, first, which set the stage for "influencers" to be appointed.

Another way to be an IC asset is to become a journalist. The Washington Post and the New York Times are filled with writers, via the Matrix of Power strategy, who no one would ever read, unless placed in front of you by the intelligence community. In fact, generating an audience of any decent size is a great way to attract recruitment because "hiding in plain sight" is the norm for the intelligence community. If you have an audience of 100,000, they will start coming at you sideways, using several layers of separation to attempt to move you to their agenda. If you have an audience of a million, you're probably getting a handler. If you have an audience of 10,000,000, you're definitely getting some kind of handler.

The only real way to get into the intelligence community and still maintain your own personal frame, is to leverage your way in by being an actually useful intelligence asset. It's the only way to have a small chance to operate in an uncompartmentalized manner, on your own terms. But, I'll tell you, right now, most IC jobs are bullshit jobs and most IC missions are bullshit missions and all nearly all counterintelligence is just scumbaggery and thuggery by cowards who wouldn't win against Carrot Top in a fist fight. In fact, the vast majorty of spies are pussies, in mind and in body, specifically because of their "engaging" mindset. Nothing is worse for a spy than an enemy spy who is good at violence. The world has an intelligence problem in that the people who are good at violence are specifically excluded from real intelligence.

"The society that separates its scholars from its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting by fools." - Thucydides

That's the reality of where we're at. All of the fighting in the world is literally done by fools and cowards and they screw it up for everyone else.

Either way, intelligence is a two step process; gather information, use the information. Be wise and be kinetic.

If you never use the information, you haven't really been a good "spy." "An Industry Approved Spy" will also never be allowed to do both the collection and the action. As an "everyday spy" or a "lone wolf", this the the first barrier you have to break, with the second being the barrier generally held between intelligence and counterintelligence.

A counterintelligence stooge will usually have a completely different narrative built for them than a data collector. For this reason, an agile mindset is required for an every day spy, where you are capable of moving your mindset in between frames. Sometimes, you're going to need to be a nightmare of a human being and the most effective way to do that is to mentally compartmentalize that personality and call on it as needed. Most people want to be nice and accommodating, so this is always where you start. Most of the time, politeness and a smile are all that is needed to get information.

From an everyday spy, perspective, emotional tone is no longer part of your personality, it's part of your act. If you can't control your emotions, you aren't really cut out for what we're discussing, but that does happen in the IC constantly... unqualified people everywhere.

If you are a lone wolf, then you are going to have to be the type of person that can convince others of doing your dirty work. Never get your own hands dirty. If you ran an agency, you have men and resources to burn. As a lone wolf, you have to have a zero tolerance policy for risk of imprisonment. The only exception is when you have leverage to keep you out of jail. In fact, a "get out of jail free card" is really what separates the men from the boys.

That's the real class system in the world: Arrestable and not arrestable. Killable and not killable. By leveraging your way into "not arrestable," and "not killable," you've graduated to "Everyday Spy" status, in my opinion.

My explanation is really for those who have a glamorized idea of what intelligence really is. Intelligence is and always will be a hot mess and only worth dabbling in if the apparatus is useful to you, personally. Everyone in the IC knows this, eventually. There is no good ideological or moral high ground. You are spoon fed a narrative about who is the bad guy, while the bad guy is being spoon fed the same narrative about you and both sides have been manipulated into moral outrage.

The true failing of the intelligence community is the lack of accountability for corrupt behavior. Other than a ideological lone wolf, who is, generally excluded from the IC, every other type of spy is completely misinformed or completely compromised. Simply put, everyone in the intelligence community let's bad guys run wild and nobody speaks up about it.

We, as a society, have an ethical obligation to protect our women and children and that means there needs to be a death penalty for pedophiles and human traffickers. This is, specifically, where everyone, even the "good apples" fail. Politely put; "Hey assholes, you're all fucking failures and you need to be reminded. Please do the right thing and use your extrajudicial powers to kill pedophiles or go the fuck home."

Why pedophiles? Why human traffickers? Because, if you kill them, there is nobody left to pay off corrupt politicians. It ends the cycle. It is the one thread you can pull that shakes out criminals of all kinds.

Right now, we have learned the FBI has given thousands of confidential informants "encrypted" phones, where they spied on organized crime all over the whole world. Obama phones. Where are the high level arrests? Not a single one. Nowhere, in the entire world. Right now, the actual "every day spies", the professionals, getting paid... with our tax dollars... every last one is a failure. No crisis has been averted. No justice has been dispensed.

So, it's up to you to be the real "every day spies" and to get the word out about these intelligence and counterintelligence techniques to as many people as possible, because awareness is the first step towards accountability. Not only that, the US has many enemies and they are all currently being given card blanche to sabotage every aspect of our society with "problematization" strategies; finding and or finding problems everywhere, with everything and racism has become the go to first step. Everything is racist, so you can't do anything. Everything is environmentally damaging, so you can't do anything. You are racist. You are environmentally damaging. The sabotage escalates, from there, where our city governments, schools and hospitals are getting ransomwared by known FBI assets. You are under attack from all sides by cowards and fools.

So, what do you do? How do you even get started?

If you're a speed reader and if you're decent "with computers," you really have all you need.

You start by building your own intelligence network. HUMINT, SIGINT and a little bit of SPYSEC.

HUMINT: You get married into a big family, go to a big church and start working on being a "well placed individual." Start your own company. Be able to produce something. Dogs, knives, guns, airplane parts, in that order. Start a non-profit... religious is great... religious school is better... animal sanctuary, if you can't think of anything else. If you do this, you won't be able to help BUT have a huge HUMINT resource. Nihilism, depression, social anxiety and other traits are promoted specifically to keep people from having a community. You need a high trust society immediately around you to have the best HUMINT network.

SIGINT: You will need a somewhat sophisticated set up to build your own intelligence gathering network, but nothing too expensive or complicated. You will need several computers and a multitude of devices.

"Artificial Intelligence" is way oversold, in my opinion... at least in certain areas like trying to predict stocks... or predict the future, in general. However, you will need a dedicated machine learning computer to metatable everything you do and you will need this as soon as possible. You will need a set of air gapped devices to cover all operating systems.

MOST operating systems can be virtualized, but you need to be a bit of a used device hoarder. Used devices from pawn shops are FAR superior to buying anything knew for many reasons. You want other people's digital footprints on your devices because it confuses the hell out of the algorithms Big Tech uses to identify you. Of course, this also means the cameras need to be taped off and stored in a faraday trunk when not in use.

You don't have to be a coder, but you do need to be able to be somewhat of a "script kiddie" where you can cut and paste other people's works. Occasionally, you may need to pay someone to code something for you, but you still need to known enough to look at it and know whether it is legit, or not.

You start your intelligence gathering at the local level. To the best of your abilities, document everything about your local government, local school, local hospitals, local churches and local non-profits. If you are in a small town, you need a database of everyone in town. If you are in a large city... start with proximity. By forcing yourself to do this, you will encounter problems that you didn't know you needed to solve, yet. You will begin to know what you don't know and where you need to improve.

Think of it as building the most detailed contact list you have ever seen. Ideally, you want it fleshed out well enough that, when you meet people, you already know a bit about them. This "frame" always helps the balance of power, on an unconscious level. Also, consider this, when posting online. If someone was going through your chats, how easily would they be able to start filling out age, place, political alignment, etc? Adding multiple locations, multiple names, along with misinformation, in your posting histories, screws up anyone trying to pin you down. This is called "signature reduction." Use it off the Internet, too.

SPYSEC: You will, of course, be focused on security once you begin to acquire information and items of value, which makes you a target for thieves and other ne'erd'wells.

Good security starts with a well trained dog.

Good security means you go analog. Use cameras that use film or have their WiFi and bluetooth physically disabled with the ability to print on an air gapped printer. You do not post pictures, video or personally identifiable information on the Internet. Try to keep an air gapped set up in one room and an "office" in another room. Do not remove devices from your house ever. One drive down the Vegas strip or one walk through an airport, and everything on your device is out there.

If you are connected to the Internet, then everything you type is saved and uploaded. Screenshots of your face are uploaded. Technology is only given to the masses when it can be used to spy on them. They are even retconning a lot of simple items to make them digital when it's totally unnecessary.

You do not share any more information about yourself than you have to, ever. Learn to be a good listener. Learn to ask probing questions. Practice on people of no consequence in your interactions and "turn up" your personality slowly and see what people do and don't respond to. Always be wondering how much you can get away with unnoticed.

Don't keep anything in your own name. Learn how to incorporate, entrust and otherwise have control over without using your own name. The IC calls these "proprietaries," though they aren't supposed to use the term, anymore. Don't use your last name, either.. like "Smith Family Trust." Keep everything generic, like "Family Trust."

Do not have a phone where your name is on the bill. Do not use your name online ever. Use an alias for literally everything, even in the real world. Grocery Store card? Fake name. Fake phone number. Autoparts Store Membership? Fake name. Fake number. Don't give out your information. In truth, it's probably too late for you, but not your kids.

Drive a car in your company or non-profits' name or your in-laws name. Sublets are great, too. Cash sublet rentals are the best, if you can find them. Try not to drive cars with computers, trackers and or microphones.

You get the idea. Having these guiding principles, especially when you are young, is important, because it is protective and the practicing of it makes you better at spots tricks and shortcuts.

Obfuscate facial recognition with everything available to you, always, in public. Hat, sunglasses, covered arms, etc. Not only do you not want to have tattoos (more spies have tattoos than not, these days), you don't want people to be able to tell whether or not you have tattoos, at all. Wildly different shoes will even fool gait tracking.

And, of course, have bug detectors. There are nice, cheap little all in one units, but you can get them individually. Radio frequency investigation, Line inspection, X-ray check , X-ray of a smartphone, Thermography, Optical Lens detection, etc. Once you get good at it, you can even offer it as a service. Use bug detectors in hotel rooms, conference rooms, bed rooms, etc.

COINTEL: In order to protect yourself from the hysteria of the masses and avoid being emotionally manipulated, it is important to research counterintelligence techniques. The Gentle Person's Guide to Forum Spies includes strategies for the Internet that have been used in the real world for millennia.

Food for thought, anyways. Feel free to ask questions.
