My strategy is to avoid letting them even notice me, much less not talking to them. If they knock on my door and I refuse to engage them and they note that, I'm a refuser already. I'll get a note in their database. I know they will ignore anything I post on my house, so I won't bother doing that. I'm keeping my car out of sight. I'm putting an infrared sensor at the end of my driveway to give me an extra 60 seconds or so to clear out of the way of sight. Think of it as a pre-ring. It will not be something I can buy off the shelf.
