Yeah there's that of course, and then there's more

A high IQ doesn't render you immune to hubris for instance, lots of fatal dumb shits are done out of hubris/misplaced/excessive pride. You have jealousy also, cowardice... Such personality traits are often enough to turn the IQ into just plain high BS

Vanity also, and a general lack of wisdom/experience. Often you'll find mathematicians showing contempt for chemists, or physicists because they deem their fields as lesser stuffs, and it's not limited to scientists, to be clear, you find that stupid elitist mindset in pretty much every field, it's often coming from specialists who only really know one thing, their stuff, and they think the rest is just secondary. And they're good at what they do, and when it comes to IQ tests they score high no problem, but they're immature

In what way does that make IQ bullshit?

Having a high IQ never meant that you don't make mistakes. It seems it is your assumptions about IQ that are wrong. You have a sort of "appeal to authority" fallacy going.

In what way you ask?

In the way that it just doesn't involve a "casual error"

Look at covid19 look at the scientific community, look at the medical field

It's a minority that sounded the alarm, the vast majority engaged in mass murder, pretty much
