This is what happens when you allow fiat currency to take hold. The government will eventually print money to spend on whatever it sees fit, stealing the value from those who have prudently saved. Most people are far too short sighted (and have been trained to be so) that they are simply unable to see the connection with the abandonment of sound money with the inevitable corruption and collapse that is occurring now. She should not be begging the government to "save" her, but to stop hurting her. The government will not save you, they are not your friend, they do not defend your interest. To the government, YOU are a resource to be mined until you are utterly spent.
