So it appears that the most valuable state secrets are now child exploitation rather than nuclear weapons.

Nuclear weapons science available to the public used to be censored and poisoned to prevent the next country from building the bomb.

We see similar institutional censorship and information poisoning in the kid fiddler space. It is reasonable to suspect that CEM blackmail is a weapons program on par with nukes and maybe even more effective at achieving an outcome.

Kompromat has always been the most valued secrets of any malevolent power. With it you can force others to do your bidding without even needing to ask them. The compromised all know what dirt is held on them and by who, they know whose interest they must serve of they want it to remain secret. This is orders of magnitude more powerful than any weapon. It's what I refer to as the "One Ring". It is a weapon, a weapon of power and malice. But a weapon that can only be weilded by evil, should anyone who is not evil attempt to weild it they will become immediately corrupted. If this weapon is actually cast into the fires of Mt Doom (which in this case would be publicly releasing ALL of it) then the power it has will be destroyed.
