Just like racism, sexism, etc., this jewish buzzword mainly serves to conveniently shut down criticism on large sites such as Reddit, YouTube, Facebook and especially Wikipedia.

Notice how left-wing sites have the strongest policies against ban evasion.

They treat ban evasion as a rape-tier crime. For example, on Wikipedia, ban evasion is considered much worse than actual vandalism, despite that is technically not true.

In real-life, a far less controllable environment than digital, bans serve purposes of physical protection, such as banning an individual from driving.

On the Internet however, an impersonation attacker also has the power to get a target's identity banned from a site. Sites with such crappy rules make themselves vulnerable.

Well, evident spammers should obviously be kept out.

But on mainstream sites such as Reddit, ban evasion policies mainly purport to suppress criticism, especially criticism of unfair and abusive subreddit moderation.

On those platforms, ban evasion is a user's only defense against moderative power trippers.

In Poal’s case it was someone using dozens of alts to flood off topic shitposts and shitcomments.

Pretty sure that's why I was banned. I had several accounts banned from different subs and used them to circumnavigate the ban. I tried making new ones but they are taken down within a hour. So I stop caring and feel better because of it
