I have observed this as well. The middle eastern culture revolves entirely around lies. Humor is about telling lies, and laughing if they get called out for being a little lying shit, or then they pretend to be offended and then laugh if you believe they are offended. They try to haggle all prices because they expect all prices to be untrue. They will lie to you, and if you believe them then you're stupid for trusting them and it was ok to lie to you to begin with. Every sand nigger I have ever met in any setting has this pattern of behavior.
