This is my own summary. You should not take my word for it but do your own research. I didn't source it out cause 1) poal is picky on who calls what fake news, and 2) im lazy.

But in the same spirit this all appears true, and while I presume many of you agree with me many of your normie friends won't, and wouldn't like my sources anyways. So here's a full narrative and challenge those same normies to look into it themselves. Most won't. But there's enough here that maybe some will and you can influence them.

Netanyahu’s Corruption Charges and Trial Status

Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, is on trial for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust across three cases (Case 1000, Case 2000, and Case 4000), with charges filed in November 2019. The trial began in May 2020 and is ongoing as of June 2025. Here’s a summary of the cases:

Case 1000 (Gifts Affair): Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, allegedly received lavish gifts (cigars, champagne, jewelry) worth around 700,000 shekels (~$191,000) from Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan and Australian billionaire James Packer. In return, Netanyahu is accused of advancing Milchan’s interests, including advocating for tax exemptions and assisting with a U.S. visa. Charges: fraud and breach of trust.

Case 2000 (Media Affair): Netanyahu allegedly negotiated with Arnon Mozes, publisher of Yedioth Ahronoth, for favorable coverage in exchange for legislation to limit the circulation of rival newspaper Israel Hayom. Charges: fraud and breach of trust.

Case 4000 (Bezeq Affair): As communications minister, Netanyahu is accused of granting regulatory favors worth 1.8 billion shekels (~$500 million) to Bezeq Telecom, owned by Shaul Elovitch, in exchange for positive coverage on Elovitch’s Walla news site. Charges: bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

Recent Developments (as of June 2025): Netanyahu began testifying in his defense on December 10, 2024, marking a significant phase as the first sitting Israeli prime minister to take the stand as a criminal defendant. His testimony has continued intermittently, with cross-examination starting on June 3, 2025.

The trial has faced delays due to health issues (e.g., Netanyahu’s prostate surgery in December 2024 and subsequent infection) and security concerns, including the Gaza war and conflicts with Iran and Hezbollah. Hearings were reduced to twice weekly in early 2025 to accommodate his schedule.

On March 31, 2025, two of Netanyahu’s top aides, Jonatan Urich and Eli Feldstein, were arrested in a separate investigation dubbed “Qatargate,” involving alleged bribes from Qatar and leaks of classified information. Netanyahu was questioned but not listed as a suspect. This has fueled further scrutiny of his inner circle.

Netanyahu has consistently denied the charges, calling them a “witch-hunt” by political rivals and a biased media. His legal team has sought delays, arguing his wartime responsibilities take precedence, though courts rejected a 10-week postponement in November 2024.

The trial is expected to continue for months, with no verdict likely before late 2025 or 2026. If convicted, Netanyahu faces up to 10 years for bribery and 3 years for fraud and breach of trust. Under Israeli law, he is not required to resign unless convicted and appeals are exhausted, which could take years.
