Pulled the trigger on Poal, eh Dom? Glad you did; hydra-heading and this seems a bit more, um, 'modern' than other platforms? If that makes sense.

I genuinely don't know what you mean by modern.

I do like Poal's authorship levels, though.

All the coding and attempts to fancify going in to all these reddit alternatives that we're spreading across.

And all I can think is that none of them are as nice or full featured as a proper old message board forum. :P

Well, for the most part we're just testing.

It's streamlined and its UI looks a bit sleeker and overall more "modern" to me, if that makes sense, compared to say default, no-css Saidit or old.reddit (my fave! lol, been around too long to like the new format).

What do you mean no-CSS Saidit? Saidit has CSS. It's just that most people aren't using it.

Nice CSS!

I desperately struggled with it, and had to ask for help from some of the admins. But it does kinda work.

If the rest of the sub migrates here, I want to give them a kind of familiar place to land.

You could have asked for help here.

@pmyb2 and I are the admins here. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask us or /s/askpoal.

Enjoy your stay!

Edit: just noticed that it breaks on mobile. Should add some extra code to change the responsive menu.

I did ask for help in the CSS sub.

You actually fixed a bug that I found: https://poal.co/c/5ee2b0de-a9a5-4a19-ba84-7fadafc56db7

I'm not sure how to fix it on mobile yet. Getting it to resize in a way that wasn't a catastrophe was difficult and I got to about here to make it work well enough.
