The real headline should read more like this: Peter Thiel wins personal vendetta against Gawker.com by finding and opportunistically funding a victim of revenge porn. (Then it should explain his real reasons, publicly -- which has yet to happen.)
I realize most of us here dislike Gawker for being an SJW site and anti-GamerGate, and I do too. But I don't like the precedent this sets. Hundreds of millions of dollars is too high an award for revenge porn -- especially when the victim is a man, who would have gained, more than lost, reputation as a result.
