"Recently, my transgender mother was wrongly arrested by police officers. They took her into custody because they requested to search through her car without a permit, and she said they couldn’t. When she was taken to the prison, she was put into a cell with four transphobic men, who beat her to the point her jaw was broken in two different places. Her human rights were violated, and we intend to sue the San Diego Police Department and The City of San Diego. In order to do so, we need support from people like you to: 1.
