The gay rights movement is a perfect example of the First Rule of Activism -- never achieve your goals. When the March of Dimes cured polio, did they shut it down and go home? Hell no, they expanded their mission and kept fundraising. Likewise, whenever the gays got something they wanted, they asked for something even more outrageous. In less than 30 years, the movement went from decriminalizing consensual sodomy to encouraging kids to "affirm" their gender by mutilating their genitals.
They probably figured the gay marriage thing would have lasted them longer since ought to have alienated the passive "what you do is your own business" allies. When the SCOTUS prematurely killed their cash cow, I think they panicked behind the scenes trying to find the new cause to take up without explicitly advocating pedophilia, necrophilia, or bestiality.
>We just want the same rights that heterosexuals have
"Well then stop being a fag", should have been the answer. Since when being "gay" is all about being just like heterosexuals?
It's like dykes, they say they prefer pussies over dicks and at the same time their relationships revolve around the use of a plastic cock
