I've seen one in the wild when I was last in the Denver area, didn't have to get close to it thankfully. I remember when I was young child (90s), was out with my mother, she stopped at target. I saw a crossdresser coming out of the store and asked my mother why the man was wearing a dress, to which my mother answered that he had a chemical imbalance in his brain. I can't say for sure how many I've seen out, but I'd guess maybe 5-10 ever.
