Random fact, if a tire is punctured, the worst spot for the owner is for the puncture to be on the side of the tire as a nice sized gash can't be repaired. One tire at a time is generally the cost of an insurance deductible so most people will opt to just buy a new tire. If all 4 tires were done at the same time, then an insurance claim would probably be cheaper (even if their rates go up).
