Based on his bloodshot, droopy eyes and slurred words, he's drunk. Actually, he reminds me of when a guy sitting next to you at a bar starts talking out their drunk ass about things they don't really understand, which makes sense since he's an astronomer talking about non-astronomy things. It also reminds me of when people thought Bill Nye was smart because he had that kid's science show, then he started talking about politics and stuff and it was like, "oh he's actually an idiot."
