Since Waterfox doesn't have a Debian package or an appimage, I tried doing a while back.

All it did was break my software manager and update manager(both were rendered inaccessible). I tried fixing it but I eventually gave up and ended up reinstalling Linux Mint and decided to just go into the waterfox folder everytime I want to launch Waterfox but I think it's just annoying to have to do that. I just want to be able to access it from my panel.

I know. If I try only installing that I just , and I'm unable to install it.

I haven't used Waterfox in years, so that's about all the help I can offer. Sorry wasn't stuff you didn't already know.

If there is portable version you could give that a try. Read the page, instructions looked ok to me.
