I have not heard the same things about Wayland that I hear about SystemD. X11 has always been a mess and you can’t fix it without breaking every X11 app. Wayland is a clean slate that adds new, modern capabilities. It also supports X11 apps.

wayland remote desktop is a mess in itself
wayland will be EVEN WORSE than X11 since the IDIOTS that wrote it started the project declaring the MOST of the things that X11 did where useless.
