I just install LMDE for the first time in like 2 years. It has improved a lot and is far faster now. I installed regular mint a couple months ago with the Ubuntu base and it sucked ballz but the debian base is bug free so far and the networking impressed the hell out of me how fast it is even faster than manjaro xfce and the signal is stronger also another bonus. Besides the lame appearance of icon themes it's going to be running for the near future while I give MX and Manjaro a vacation. Link to their page if anyone wants it https://linuxmint.com/download_lmde.php . The download size is 2.5GB just as a heads up so it'll take a while. If you using manjaro since etcher is one use then redownload at least for me you can use the AUR for installing SUSE image writer which is outstanding and fast or if your exectional you'll likely just use the terminal like many experience people here will.

Why not just use base Debian?

I really don't like base Debian, doesn't run as fast and you need the terminal "if I remember right" to fix the time from univeral aka england, fuck england.

Are using AMD or Nvidia?

Nvidia 1650, I think in hindsight amd would have been a better choice but the house I was in had OLD wiring so the low power was the selling point. Now I realize I should have bought a ryzen G with graphics same power and saved a couple hundred in the process.
