Flawed behaviour Battery Monitor Widget app overwrites previous battery history file if exported.

Overwriting (clobbering) is always a terrible practice.

It would be better to create a history export file each time with a new file name generated from date and time.

But overwriting is a beginner's mistake and can lead to unexpected data loss, especially if the user is not warned.

About this sub

What used to be a rarity in the golden age, has grown into a serious dread of users.

Useful features have been removed from newer versions of software (e.g. browsers, operating systems, websites) or successors of electronic devices such as mobile phones (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S6)?

A highly demanded feature of a product, software, etc. has still not been implemented?

There is a behavioural change in a newer version (e g. Firefox MozLZ4 instead of plain text) that just makes things worse?

Don't you despise the removal of good and useful features?

We know that ugly feeling too well.

Share your grievances here. Get it off your chest!

Including:

Behavioural changes
Useful features removed a long time ago (e.g. replaceable batteries in mobile phones)
Microfrustrations: Repetitive subconsciously annoying behaviours such as these.
Shallow marketing (frankly stupid) excuses for removing functionality, such as “Courage”.

Tips:

Unvisited links appear in green, visited links appear as grey.
Also share features you think the entity should have implemented a long time ago already (e.g. water resistance on the iPhone 6s.)
You may share past bad experiences you had because of removed or missing features (e.g. in 2014, you could not record an important event in 2160p, because your iPhone 6 could only record in 1080p).
