Your favorite hard-hitting "reporter" doesn't go out and gather facts, compile them, edit them down, and report the story to you. Your favorite "reporter" is reading from a teleprompter. Pay attention to the eyes. He didn't write that story, though he may have some input into the best way to fool you. He's looking into a camera lens, subconsciously tricking you into believing he is in your living room, looking you directly in the eyes, and therefore is trustworthy. He's using body motions---talking with his hands, raising one or both eyebrows, shrugging his shoulders, smirking, etc---to convince you he's having a casual chat with you. (It's called neuro-linguistic programming, or NLP. Look it up if you're unfamiliar.) His job is not to tell you the truth. He is an actor that reads from a script. His job is to make you believe that what he is reading to you is true. The better he is at it, the more he gets paid. Mainstream "reporters" get paid *tens of thousands of dollars a day* for appearing convincing as they read someone else's words from the tpt. Even Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham make over $50,000 a day. Don't believe me? Look it up. Unplug your god-box for a month. Then turn it back on, and you will see the charade clearly on every network. (Unplugged since 3/09.)
