Anyone want to bet that NO ONE will look into the Engineer or Engineers on this one? Check your train crash statistics folks. You'll find that in many many cases the Engineer was a known Health hazard, an affirmative action hire, a wet behind the ears newbie with no one supervising him, a drunk, a drug addict or believe it or not distracted by his fucking phone. Yeah. distracted by his phone driving a friggin train. Its happened. Will the solution be better screening and hiring of candidates? Nope. Just more "regulation" that no one will follow. Then this will happen again (as it so often has) and....more regulation.
