Reddit:

support degeneracy --> get degeneracy

who was surprised?

[–] 1 pt

Not I.

That said, this is not reddit's problem. Her ex could be posting this stuff almost anywhere and it would be just as impossible for the site owners to prevent it.

Yeah, I hate what reddit has become too, but there's room for nuance. reddit isn't the one posting this shit.

If we live in a white supremacist country, why can you talk bad about whites, and no other group? The CCP doesn't allow you to badmouth them, or the Chinese, and they're blatantly a Chinese supremacist country, ain't it?

I agree, but wrong thread?

yes and no

If Reddit and its ilk didn't exist, her pictures might still be posted on some random forum, where they would probably get told to get lost because nobody was interested. But because Reddit creates a demand and a self perpetuating need for self abasement, it's the natural place to post it and to keep doing so.

Twenty years ago this would have provoked disgust, now it's just meh. Values have therefore changed, and the sites that have consistently promoted this change have been liberal ones like Reddit.

Twenty years ago the internet was still flooded with porn, if anything there was even less control.

Anyhow, her ex clearly did this to take revenge, I doubt he would have decided not to if reddit didn't exist. This kind of thing is always going to be a problem on any site with user posted content. If she's serious about stopping this she needs to call the police on her ex and take him to court. If she's not then this is just a cashgrab.

If anything, they need to also remove anything pornographic that includes "teen", even if it's 18-19 year old girls, because that gets into very dodgy territory really quick.

Reddit is a cesspool of retards and degenerate democrats. I hope it puts them out of business.

Eyeroll

The woman, identified under the pseudonym Jane Doe, argues that “Reddit knowingly benefits from lax enforcement of its content polices, including for child pornography.” She claims that in 2019, an abusive ex-boyfriend posted sexual photos and videos that he’d taken without her knowledge or consent.

> Doubt

More likely she posed for the pictures, then after they inevitably ended up on the internet she decided she was underage and taken without her consent.

But when she alerted Reddit moderators, they could wait “several days” before removing the content,

Boo hoo, it's a huge fucking site and some unpaid volunteers took a while to get to her complaint.

Any sane person would have dealt with the source of the problem: Her ex. But I guess reddit have more money.

while Reddit administrators allowed the man to keep posting and create a new account when his old account was banned.

"Allowed." No site I'm aware of has successfully solved the problem of preventing trolls and spammers from opening new accounts in bad faith.

“Because Reddit refused to help, it fell to Jane Doe to monitor no less than 36 subreddits — that she knows of — which Reddit allowed her ex-boyfriend to repeatedly use to repeatedly post child pornography,” the complaint reads. “Reddit’s refusal to act has meant that for the past several years Jane Doe has been forced to log on to Reddit and spend hours looking through some of its darkest and most disturbing subreddits so that she can locate the posts of her underage self and then fight with Reddit to have them removed.”

Lmao "forced." "They 'forced' me to obsessively trawl their site in case my ex posted your honour! I had no choice!"

As much as I hate reddit this stinks to high heaven.

And "child" "16-year-old"

Related, but not applicable to internet posts, is that AoC is 16 in 31 U.S. states

[–] 0 pt

I think it's higher for noody pics though. IANAL

[–] 0 pt

I know, thats why I said not applicable to internet posts, of pics. However, my point about it is that very limit is absurd when the majority of states allow sexy times with 16-year-old "children." Even people in those states think their AoC is 18 because its unstated and theyve been duped by seeing USC 2257 everywhere online. Its a sexual age in the internet age clusterfuck
