The thing about Marxism is that it is endlessly divisive, always pitting the Haves against the Have Nots. The term privilege sums it up succinctly and frankly it's a brilliant strategy.
The endless divisiveness of Marxism is what gives it its power AND makes it appealing to people looking for to acquire power and to idiots. You can always find some criteria that makes you appear to be at the disadvantage ie. not privileged. This in turn gives you the moral upperhand which is self-satisfying -- which serves to re-enforce your sense of moral superiority -- and at the same time makes it difficult for anyone else to argue against directly. This is why arguing with Marxists is a waste of time; you literally cannot win against the ideology as long as you let them choose the rules. The second you attempt to impose your own rules they call you a Racist or some other label that immediately de-rails any further discussion. Again, it's rather brilliant.
In short anyone looking for a way to 'prove' that they are not getting everything that they feel they deserve will find it by way of Marxism.
