I had the same sensation, despite finding the account and password in the iCloud data. He has seemingly received hookers at the Pacifica Hotel in Aliso Viejo. That's the only connection to that area, I'm aware of, and he definitely prefers Malibu, if he's in Southern California. I guess I'm going to have to wait until I stumble across more significant portions of his writing to compare.
