I don't give a fuck. I read about some shit this morning on ycombinator about closing subreddits to make the CEO feel bad. Sounds like the redditfags are invading 4chan to set up shop there.

Not really going to matter much. 3rd party applications don't show ads, so there's no lost revenue if those readers leave.

Yeah this won't amount to shit. Reddit is going to do whatever will make them the most money.

On the plus side it might tank their upcoming IPO and kill the site. One can hope.

A bunch of the alt apps such as apollo have already declared they are closing down so either way, reddit wins. It's a noble effort but when it comes to a worldwide footprint like communist reddit has, it's not going to make a whole hell of a lot of difference. People will just go back to using it.
