Imagine if he would have saved all this for the Vue update. Maybe then he might have gotten away with it, but he got cocky once Voat announced its shutdown and wanted Ruqqus to be more feature-packed than Voat ever was.

That was his fuckup.

More importantly if he would've been able to keep is cockholster shut he probably would've managed to make the change while keeping his site alive in the long run. He went full-retard, beyond even what spez does when it comes to public statements, and that showed everyone that Ruqqus is just Imzy 2.0
