When the Voat store went down years ago it became impossible to get Voat ads. Voat recycled old ads for months, or just left the sidebars blank.
The company that broke that trend was PIA, with their own ad in Voat's sidebar. Direct contact with Putt was necessary. Direct arrangement.
Couple that with the links I shared in a reply to another user in this chain, where Putt stickied a plug for PIA in the NYT on the front page, and where he gave 20 PIA VPN keys to Voat users, and it is blatantly clear that PIA and Putt are or have been in communication. Couple this with Putt's declaration that Voat was sent an angel last Christmas, and I see no reason to doubt that PIA is that angel.
Again, no proof, but the evidence is ample.
I'm not spinning conspiracy theories either. I firmly believe that when Putt made whatever agreement he may have with the folks at PIA, that he was convinced they were serious about FoS. But now that he is away, probably busy with post-secondary studies and only having enough time to occasionally poke an eye in at Voat, I fear that Putt may not pay attention to the very concerning buyout of PIA.
Putt has been through this song and dance before. He knows better than anyone how serious the Powers that Be are to shutdown Voat. They've tried everything. I would not put it past our enemies to either wait for an FoS angel to begin supporting Voat so that they can buy it out and pull the plug when Voat is most vulnerable; or to plant a fake FoS angel into a position where they can become investors, so they can they present a facade of change in leadership, when they were really in control all along, just so they can justify "changing the policies" and, again, pulling the plug on Voat.
I am simply presenting concerning possibilities. Foul play may be afoot, and I fear Putt may not have enough of a presence right now to realize it.
