Welcome to The End, a disaster scenario game in which you can play out the apocalypse. The aim of the game is to create an imaginary community that works together to survive The End.
The End is a week-by-week forum-based roleplay game that anyone can play. We will start with Scenario One, and if it is successful and people like it, we can add new scenarios for future games down the line. The idea is to say what you would do week by week, team up with other players to play strategies together, and generally play the part of a person surviving X disaster scenario.
WHAT IS IT?
Based on a starting scenario, players write themselves a character who fits within the bounds of the scenario. This will be covered in a pre-game post. Subsequent players can join by adding their character to this post, then diving in (after explaining why we haven't heard from them yet - e.g. traveler, was hiding in woods, etc).
In Week 1, the End Of The World event happens. Players discuss initial scenarios and strategies in the weekly post.
Week 2-4: three different challenges hit our fledgling band of survivors, and players can respond accordingly.
If people want to extend it past week 4, I'll carry on throwing stuff at you!
RULES
1 - stay in scenario, and work with the world you have and the laws that govern it. No, you can't have a dinosaur, you aren't a superhero, and we can't just magic up a nuke. This is a real-scenario RPG, so no magic, no unrealistic shit. If people want to do a no-holds barred one, we can do that, but it will be a separate scenario. Posts that break this rule will be redacted by me (I will comment on it as 'Redacted' and explain why).
2- links are allowed (for example, say you want to use a tool or make a machine, and want to link a picture, or you 'find' a book and want to link a pdf) but they MUST be NSFW tagged if they are NSFW.
3 - don't narrate other people's characters. If you want to cooperate with or fight someone, you need to PM them first and work that out, not say what their character does in your little story bit. Anyone tagged in as a character this way can Redact the comment.
4 - if two or more people post at the same time, and their actions create a contradiction, the first post will go ahead and the second and subsequent ones will be redacted. This is so we don't end up going all wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey.
WHEN DOES IT BEGIN?
I will drop the starting scenario this weekend, and new posts will happen roughly every weekend, unless I'm drunk or asleep.
