With the way the builders like Virge, Srayzie and Kevdude are fucking up the place, I wouldn't give Voat more than 3 months before the last remaining non-pozzed goats leave. The Qtards will stay in their own little echo chamber but the other subs will just get overrun by shitposting and spam. Sad to see it go down but this was a cancer that formed on the inside that caused this to happen. Take notes, Poal. Is it even possible for a site to avoid this sort of fate anymore?

Is the fate inevitable? Jury is still out; internet sociology lacks serious scholarship to identify and learn from patterns (not just anecdotes). But it could have parallels with the little freedoms those who live in cities give up, once the city grows beyond a certain size. Individual humans can't extend consideration evenly to beyond a certain number of members of a group.

Voat will slowly die over the next year and a half or so, applauded every step of the way by the "builders" aka Yes-men.

Slowly censorship will creep further in, first it'll be for 'threats/calls to violence', the new rule will absolutely be applied to 100% 1st amendment protected speech "oy vey you can't say that all jews should die, that's illegal", then they'll start openly banning wrongthink as "shilling", eventually voat will become what reddit is now.

What about the disruption being caused by dial with his zillions of alts? Has no one noticed all drama is either caused by dial, ZykonB or kat. I think it's organised and intended to derail the place. It's worked very well. Personal dramas now overshadow any form of discussion about anything else. Threatening to kill someone's kids is ok (ZykonB) apparently yet long time users are unfairly banned, probably in error. Dial is simply left and allowed to continue spamming the place with copy pasta.
