I'm using boomer more as a descriptor of mindset, most of the literal boomers on voat were probably scared off by the title of the post if they even got up the courage to emerge from the Trump and Qtard subs.
I'm talking more the "it aligns with my preconceived notions so it must be true even though it's nothing but a screenshot of a tweet accompanied by literally zero evidence not even an archived link to the tweet let alone a video link" mentality, to me that was always synonymous with Boomers who raised on TV learned to never question what the talking box told them, of course there are people with this mindset in all generations.
Confirmation bias stemming from heuristic judgment left unchallenged by lacking argumentative opposition softened the minds of those left on Voat. Blaming boomers and Qseful idiots alone acquits how extensive and pervasive these bias blindspots are. Some of the mental gymnastics I've seen on there gives Reeesetera a challenge. How else would the userbase celebrate being a free speech site, whoop over account bannings for ambiguous rules lacking explicit explanation, then fellate over those same accounts being unbanned for not violating any rules, and not protest double standards for rule enforcement when it became obvious with the latest wave of bans?
