Of course not!

I admitted here in a separate post that I was all spammy during my trolling of 2 people. I also admitted that my method was bad but not the intentions.

But that doesn’t change my comment that you replied to. Putt isn’t really fit to run a huge site that is supposed to be about free speech - no that doesn’t mean you can run just say anything. If you have a question why I think that then please ask.

Maybe Putt is stressed out trying to keep the ship from sinking and just tired of the BS drama and shit stirring that certain people bring... may be a factor, don't you think?

I gave him that benefit of the doubt when I PM’d him about getting banned. I was cool with it, gave a few ideas and points on what’s wrong with current functionality because he has no idea what the user experience is. He told me he doesn’t need me and was upset that I questioned the framework he chose for the site. I did not bash his coding ever. I did accuse Virge of bashing his skills though.

See, the problem is that he should have taken it to PM. Stress and what not is just an excuse. He then posted about getting to the truth. Well which is it? Having an opinion that is about truth or just pampering his pets who create unique clicks. Even if it’s about unique clicks you will do your best to calm down problem children because they are vocal and build brand loyalty. He isn’t a business man, it’s just that simple.

He is more than likely a good cider. But he’s a typical programmer and wants to reinvent the wheel and doesn’t want outside opinions that contradict his own. In this case, he fails as a programmer. Dropbox built software for the people. Putt builds for his own hobby.

Funny that 2 days after I PM’d him he posted about hiring 2 people to help him code. If those are gonna be full time jobs, that’s minimum $100k for 2 (cheap Midwest rates) more likely a $200k investment for decent living standard based salaries. Paying Cali rates is just dumb. So, where the fuck did the money come from? He ain’t generating revenue. Doesn’t accept user donations and doesn’t have a store. He chose an expensive technology stack out of familiarity which is ok but it’s slow and not fast like nodejs or Go not as cheap an option. MVC can’t handle the pressure of a large user online experience. Neither can python, ruby or Php. I have an idea who the bitcoin investor was and possibly who paid 3-5 years of server expenses. But I am also wondering what the “builders” and that pia VPN has to do with voat. The canary died about the time the builders were given badges. Why are the feds onto voat? Who threatened him a lawsuit during the Srayzie scandal.

Yeah, lots of shot is going down that normies don’t care about or even consider.

I do agree with you that I and others like me where a problem for Putt these days but previously we weren’t. We didn’t change, Putt did.

Why was Voat down so long? Putt has cash to pay for cloudflare. He didn’t . Did he turn off the site on purpose even though the DDoS slowed down? If so, why?

Trust me, I have thought about a lot of things and the consequences of what is happening could be. I did not blindly do what I did and I ended up seeing results that surprised me.

Many good points, and I agree that Putt should not engage users on the open forum... it's just in poor taste and causes people to question his stability.
