From the way the post reads, it seems like Virge has been crawling search engine indexes with some bot/crawler and storing the internet in text form for 27 years. Why would anyone just decide to do that unless they had some agenda. 27 years ago none of us thought that we would ever need to have a backup of the net due to censorship or authoritarian control over it. His motives for this seem like something one would do if they were part of that censorship or control. Virge claims to be wealthy (he's said it a number of times and spoke of his expensive vehicles). He also deletes his history so I can't point to proof at the moment. How wealthy is he and how unhinged is he? This makes no sense, unless he's just lying again.
