I find it odd that Voat gets hit by a DDOS attack at the same time they are doing code upgrades. The only person that can know for sure it was hit is Putt. This same situation has happened before. There was also the time there was a code bug and Putt was gone so Atko re-appeared and fixed the issue.

What if the DDOS is nothing more than a cover for coding errors. Basically, the DDOS splash shows up when the site crashes. And just to stir shit up he points to a Pizzagate post?

Why would preview.voat.co still work if the site is being overwhelmed by a DDOS?

BTW, my tag is ThrowAway backwards.

Most likely.

Also a perfect way to encourage an "us against everyone else" feeling in the user base. Everyone gets to feel validated that they are being attacked and oppressed (we must be right about topic of the day because (((they))) are trying to silence us) and voat gains some wiggle room to try and fix their Fuck up.
