The ones around me that had magazines sold porno mags, but they were always behind the counter, or way up on a top shelf where little me couldn't see a booby.

I found out real quick as a young'n that National Lampoon was in the regular section and some issues would have a comic with a coveted bewb pic.

And what were the names of those auto classified magazines?

Who would have ever thought that magazines would disappear?

They haven't. In Oakland there is DeLauer's Super Newsstand. In Berzerkeley there are bookstores that sell them. Mags just ain't as readily available as before.

I remember buying High Times magazine in high school and thinking I was edgy

We had a kid that used to walk around with the newest Soldier of Fortune mag on top of whatever other books he would be carrying between classes. He passed out giving blood during a blood drive.

There is a gas station by my work that sells nudie mags. They arent behind the counter but sitting right next to a slot machine. Gambling isnt evan legal here. No idea what is up with that gas station.

yeah I have one like that minus the porno mags. Always wonder whats going on

There are slot machines that qualify as ‘games of skill’ because of some side game that you can win or lose based on how well you do, which makes them qualify as legal in certain states

I would usually flip through them in the shop then put them back on the shelf. Level 6 Rabbi move, I know. Bet you did the same. I still have a SOF mag...bought it because I knew the author of the feature story.

I used to buy those computer magazines that were an inch and a half thick. They were 95% ads. Great stuff. Dream machines.

The Computer Shopper magazine! There was a local used bookstore that sold used magazines 10 for a dollar. I used to load up on those.

Wait up, they don’t sell magazines anymore? When did this happen?

Here I was thinking you meant 30 round magazines.
