This resonated weirdly with me. I've observed how water works my whole life and it just makes too much sense. It's almost like the downpipe we use is a metaphorical attempt to control nature. Then again if leaves fall on your home, the pipe is the better solution.

I worked on a massive custom home in upstate New York years ago and the owner had decorative chains installed in place of many of the downspouts. While they did freeze occasionally during harsh winters, they melted quickly or could be tapped with a hammer to break the ice.

Leaves typically fall through the outflow hole and don't cause much of an issue.

That’s cool. I’d never heard of it****

Keep going down that guys posts. Or tweets or whatever…. I’m so angry that white nations were ruined with diversity. That’s what we could’ve been like….

Fuck me? Are you accusing me of something?

??? No….

To clarify, you linked to a tweet about chains being used instead of drain pipes in Japan. If you continue looking at other things the guy tweeted, he shows numerous aspects of life in Japan, many of which are very cool.

I got to the one where a driver pauses to let several children cross the road, and they all bow to him in thanks after crossing.

I reflected on what our western nations look like, and realized we could’ve been similar to that, and should be similar to that, except we’ve been flooded with diversity.

I'm drunk as shit atm. Apologies. I do not offer this up as an excuse. I simply agree with you that it's past my bedtime.

I like my water all bottled up and constricted, like my rage.

I used to watch a lot of Home DIY shows and remember seeing a house that this was done on. At the bottom of the chain was a river rock drain line that followed the driveway. Pretty cool.
