I imagine there are a lot of related factors, which is why they focused on "fighter" pilots.
Flying at 40k-60k with a bubble over head isn't the same thing as 8k-12k, with aluminum over head.
Also, fighters have high power military radars, ECM, and so on, which can introduce a large spectrum of additional concerns.
Good point on the radar
Quite right. Police get cancer from their radar guns. Fighter plane radar is a hell of a lot more powerful than that.
It might be the G pressure on them, same thing with people that bike a lot. They also get increase prostate cancer and all sort of issues in the area.
