You would think there has to be some kind of satellite communication device along with a VHF radio.

One would think. But I'm sure the Air Force is more concerned about removing male genitalia then common sense pilot safety.

Pretty sure this was a marine flight. Those guys are too busy trying to figure out which crayon tastes best.
