Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. I re-read it every couple years. I'll pick it up and then as if by magic time has passed and I'm reading the last page -- truly a page turner.
Shadow Of The Torturer by Gene Wolfe
Anything by Micheal Connelly, though it is recommended to start with his first book and then if you enjoy his style continue in order of publishing, because his characters develop and age. You can read any of his books as a stand alone though. But if I had to do it over again I would have started with The Black Echo. The good news is his books are readily available in used book stores and traded in regularly so it's relatively easy to find all of his titles over several months.
