I always thought it was a missed opportunity to not utilize Joseph Takagi's five children in any of the Die Hard sequels. He was obviously a high level player in Japanese finance and probably had high level government and Yakuza connections.
Having some serious Ninjas/Samurais enter the story either in a support capacity for avenging the death of their father, or in an adversarial role for McClane's involvement seems like a wasted opportunity.
They keep cranking these trash movies out anyway so maybe it'll happen.
